Welcome to Southern Life With A View. What better day to introduce my New site, than Valentine’s Day!? … Today is all about Loving, right? Today, just like any other day, I choose to love my husband, my family, my friends, and yes, love our 5 (animal) children! But most importantly, today I have to love myself. [Not in a selfish way, but in a self-worth sort of way!]
Each of our lives, is a blessing to someone else! And since today is the day to celebrate Love – I can’t help but think how many are hurting, or experiencing life changes, that they don’t talk about! (And NO, I am not depressed) A very special person left this life a few months ago, and its been burning on my heart, that ‘maybe’ he didn’t know how much of a blessing his life was to others- especially mine! Which is why I hope you, Love yourself, as much as the Good Lord, and I do! Our lives are short, and not promised, so I live by this assurance: “We can impact one another, in the most positive ways, if we just strive to have love in our hearts!”
As for today: Valentines day – single, married, or in between; Love who you are, and where you are, – because even if you think it’s a bad day, – Today, all of your circumstances could change!
I encourage you to go out, and buy those tulips (or roses), even if they come from the grocery store! You’re worth it! OR maybe, go by my favorite store in Little Rock (or shop online) and grab this top ! I say, Just because someone else didn’t buy you something (today), -doesn’t mean you can’t treat yourself!
As for this blog! While I feel I’ve covered most of my “hot topics” on the About page. [read that at your leisure, its long]. I do realize, this is an outlet for me to “talk about myself” – But I hope not to do so in vain; more than anything else, I want to provide encouragement, insight, or good ideas, to help others!
I will apologize in advance for any kinks on the front end, [as I built this site from scratch, and have been writing these posts for several months]… Stay tuned, a Big change (for me) happened earlier today! And tonight, I’m gearing up for “Annual Valentines Dinner” – this is the one night of the year, Brian cooks for me! Maybe later, I’ll tell you more about that tradition 😉
